India & Bill Clinton Say Dems Have Commited a Crime Against Humanity with Ethanol. Do You Agree?

"The Journal story quoted India's Finance Minister, Palaniappan Chidambaram, as saying, "When millions of people are going hungry, it's a crime against humanity that food should be diverted to biofuels." http://www2.nysun.com/article/74682 "Former U.S. President Bill Clinton, at a campaign stop for his wife in Pennsylvania over the weekend, said, "Corn is the single most inefficient way to produce ethanol because it uses a lot of energy and because it drives up the price of food." http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/04/15/whitehouse.food.crisis/ "Columbia University's Sachs said Monday, "We've been putting our food into the gas tank -- this corn-to-ethanol subsidy which our government is doing really makes little sense." But, it's worth it to buy the votes from farmers. Right, Dems? Dems, your leaders are ____ up. What is appropriate for the blank?

  1. Indians worship cows, and as such, don't eat them. Most of the rest of the world doesn't agree with them on this and enjoys a burger or a steak. Americans worship their automobiles. If a substance can be made into fuel to offer to their vehicle, they'll do it. Probably while eating a burger.
  2. Shouldn't the conservatives be telling India to shut up and grow their own food? Where is the Republican outrage at India's sense of entitlement to our corn? It's OUR corn! We can do what we want with it, and there is no international law that says we have to share it. It's not a crime against humanity.
  3. For once I agree with Mr. Clinton.
