Does Yahoo! Finance ever act as a go-between in a vehicle transaction by holding funds until inspection?

I submit payment, buyer ships car, I get car and approve, Yahoo! Finance releases money. Is this legit?

  1. No its a SCAM there is no such thing as Yahoo finance. You will lose your money if you continue. This a common SCAM they just change details about it .Probably is a car they say they cant register in another country so they are selling it cheap to get rid of it. It is a SCAM don't not proceed and if you have clicked on links or emails from person run a virus scan on your computer as you may have got infected by doing so.....SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM stay away.......UJN
  2. NO - SCAM Let me guess - The car is a great deal, well below comparable sales. The seller is in another state or maybe another country. They know they are selling the car too cheap, but they just have to get it gone to settle an estate/avoid taxes/cant afford to import it/reminds them of deceased loved one. They will have you send the money to a secured Yahoo Finance account. (fake). The money will be held in that account until your car arrives. Once you inspect it, and approve the car, Yahoo will release the money to the seller. If for some weird reason you do not like the car, Yahoo will give your money back. The seller is so certain you want the car, and so desperate to get rid of it, he will even pay for shipping. You dont pay anything but the super low purchase price. And to make it even better, if you refuse the car, he will even pay return shipping - that is how sure he is that you will love this car. How'd I do?
