  1. I've been to Bangkok and Phuket, so will try to help you on those: 1 - www.oanda.com click on the currency converter and you will find the exchange rate you are looking for. USD x THB is approximately 30, meaning that THB 100 = USD 3.33 2 - from Bkk airport please make sure you ask for taximeter, no matter what they say, just repeat: "taximeter" that is very important as otherwise they will cheat you badly. To the Sukunvit street, where most accomodations are available you will pay about TBH 400 3 - Unfortunately I won't be able to help you accurately with what you need regarding accomodation in BKK. I stayed in a hotel called Bel-Air Princess which I could recommend, but it might be over your budget (for July about USD 85 per night). 4 - From BKK to Pattaya (never been there, but read another question in this session saying that by cab it will cost you about TBH 1,500. Personally, I took the plane from BKK to Phuket, and paid approximately USD 100 one way with Thai Airways, but have a look at www.airasia.com, they may be cheaper. 5 - Additional comments: I see that you are concerned about money spending, so carefull with cabs in Phuket, they are very expensive (from Karon to Patong, they charge you TBH 400). Have fun, it's a great place to visit. Cheers
