why has india only in recent years made so many improvements in many aspects of life?

1. Capitalism. What else improves an economy?
2. Because only recently has India started moving away some from the corrupt government socialism that kept growth down.
3. Because the Bush junior administration has targeted India to counteract against China. Since then, technology, capital,outsourcing green cards etc have flown to India.Some friends have also followed the suit such as Japan.Bilateral trade agreements with many countries in the last decades have also played the part.
4. Because it is only in recent years the Politicians have come to there senses and started to embrace Capitalism more and ditched all that Socialist twaddle. They still need to do more to open up the markets in India, but at least they are going down the right course. The Internet has also helped, but free markets more so.
