Why did Satyasaibaba keep so much of wealth hidden from the public ?

Gold , foreign currency and Indian currency if "nationalised" increases India`s credit worthiness in the world. And we can have total tax holidays for a few years. I have nothing against Baba. Please give your opinion. This question is mostly intended for Indians and Non Indian devotees. But all are welcome to answer.

  2. To the tidings arriving from Anantapur District in Andhra Pradesh, a universally fitting response is Silence: a solemn and reverential silence by the community of the devout that considers itself bereaved; and by those who do not share this reverence, a thoughtful silence, out of sensitivity to the human condition that is subject to the sort of unenviable turmoil undergone by the devout at this hour. Today, decency counsels obeying ‘nil nisi bonum‘ and according respect to the departed, by with-holding undue aspersions and allowing the process of Law to render the justice due to the them, a respect which one wishes was not cruelly and remorselessly denied to six silenced and maligned human beings in 1993, by the very same devout that mourn today in the very same Puttaparthi so beloved to them. An offering of condolences is a social communion belonging wholly to human realms and about the clutching of human bonds, and therefore even the most sensitive words one may offer will be neither adequate nor appropriate for the devout who are convinced that the object of today’s mourning is not contained in human realms but enjoys mastery of a superhuman one. It will be undeniable by both, however, that the recent events mark the end of a chapter, which the devout will treat as a symbolic passage with cosmic significance, and which those devoted to Reason will treat as a cautionary tale which they must strive to stop turning into a repeating history. It could mark the end of a chapter of generations of shared delusion which could history could have easily been spared the embarrassment of, if only affordable mental health facilities were accessible to troubled adolescents in the witch-doctor-infested country-side in pre-Independence India. We seem to be at a critical historical juncture where we might be able to turn the page on the seemingly interminable chapter of incompetent governance and apathetic citizenship in post-Independence India which abdicated and ceded civic responsibility to extra-Constitutional demagogic authorities, leading to a form of rural indebtedness both materially and mentally. This moment of shared reflection is an apt one for us to renew our commitment to together script a new and redeeming chapter in the history of India, which is not a narrative of passive waits for messianic deliverance, but of the emergence of a society awakened by Reason, enlivened by Compassion, founded on integrity in personal conduct and sustained by probity in public life.
  3. By God ! Money is not the God but not less than the God ! I realise it now a day.
  4. A real rich man God man who invested and in return Innocent public was paying Him dividends and he was hatching it.
  5. God alone knows. (i.e.) To the die-hard devotees of Sai Baba's, only Baba knows ! "The ways of the DIVINE are beyond the comprehension of mere mortals !"
  6. Probably because if the politicians had known, they would have hatched a plan to own it.Moreover it doesn't matter why he possessed because he did a lot of things that a government ought to do.So it can be expected that he was saving it to invest for the welfare of the public.But....about the kg's of silver and gold in his room, I really don't have an answer to that.
  7. There has been a paradigm shift in the way Babas and Swamis carry on their lifestyle. It would be naive on anyone's part to compare Sai Baba of Shirdi and Sathya Sai Baba. Today godmen live in luxury rather than being one among the masses. Sathya Sai had followers across the globe. He received donations in the form of cash or kind. Hence he had property and assets worth crores.Much of this was used in public welfare. But you can't rule out discrepancies in accounts altogether. Remember Sai Baba was quite aged and his accounts were monitored by his close aides, some bureaucrats, judges and others.
  8. The exact reason is not known. But his luxury of life was not expected of man like him.He should have had a simple and ordinary living.A true teacher of a religion should be free from lust of gold, money etc.
  9. I don't know much about this self declared god, but whatever I know I don't have good opinion about him. So I am not surprised. Why should one pray an individual when we have millions of god readily available in Hinduism that I have never understood. He build few schools and hospital, and our population that loves "mas hysteria" started calling him god. Very funny. On a side note, there was a MP hailing from Bilaspur, belonging to BJP who was then Union minister in NDA government was caught on camera accepting bribe from Australian company for mining license in Chhattisgarh and saying ""Paisa Khuda to nahin, par Khuda ki kasam Khuda se kam bhi nahin" and today I and glad that BJP fans are openly saying so.. Looks like it has becoming BJP's official statement.
  10. A million dollar question which only he could have answered. But the fact that he chose to keep it secret smacks of ----------.The blanks may be filled according to individual perception/views/thoughts etc.As for me,I have my own take on the issue which I am loathe to share. However,it is for debate as to whether he too wanted to look at his God,to wit,his liquid resources, greedily and secretly every night before going to bed and thus proved that he too was only human and did not merit being equated with God by his mesmerised (?) devotees. Have a Thought Provoking Day.
  11. i think -------it was all donated by his devotees -----gold ,cash ,gifts, foreign currency etc he kept it in the yajur mandir for its safety ------so that he could use it for peoples benefit later on or for maintaining his prashanti nilayam complex ,and other subsidies within or outside of prashanti nilyam like canteen ,etc etc he ran free water schemes for the poor of an district called ananthpur -----super specialty hospitals of puttaparthi and white field bangalore and many general hospitals run by baba baba used to eat simple meals like ragi mudda [african millet ] with green leaf curries and some butter milk whatever the pomp or show -------the end result is -----every one if not most ,Indians and non-indians got benefited by sai babas activities ------and none got harmed in the process just my view good luck
  12. That wealth was given to him by his devotees / followers. Hence he was free to use that as he wish.Keeping reserves in the shape of Gold and silver is beneficial now in comparison to keeping that in a current or saving account. There is nothing illegal.
