3.You’re running the central bank of a country called Econdavia. The Prime Minister calls you one day complaining that the currency is too high. Apparently, exporters are concerned that Econdavia’s high currency rate is making them lose business abroad. What could you do as a central banker to get the currency to decline? Should you do anything at all? Why or why not?

1. Dissolve the central bank and kill myself.
2. I used to live in a country where the currency was worthless. The shelves in the stores were empty because everything was sold abroad. This was no fun at all. The strength of the currency reflects the strength of the economy. This bullshit about low currency being good for the exporters is just a way for the government to excuse itself from taking the responsibility for the bad economy.
