Have the Majority of the Populations of the U.S.,Mexico, China & India shared in "Free Trade" Economic Growth?

Public Comments

  1. Just the portion that works hard.
  2. Only those who are politically connected have benefited from these anything but free trade agreements
  3. The Majority have made less, the Executives and share holders have made off like fat cats.
  4. No. The sweat shops in China and India do not pay living wages. The people in these sweat shops are lucky if they have enough money to pay the rent and put food on the table, and that's only if everyone in the family is working 90 hours a week including the kids. It's not pleasant. Also there is no worker's comp if you lose a finger it's your own problem. The people have nothing to show for their work, it is basically just modern day slavery. What actually happens is that shareholders and executives pocket the difference between what they pay to run a sweat shop, and what they would have had to pay an American to do the same work. Nobody else receives any benefit. This is one of the reasons that, during the last decade, the US middle class made no gains at all, while the rich became much richer.
