Can I deposit cheque of Bangladesh currency to my account in India?

Can a company in Bangladesh pay me (in India) by sending cheque (less than US$ 100 equivalent) in their currency, i.e. Taka. Can I deposit that cheque in by bank account in India and would my account be credited by the INR equvalent at the prevailing exchange rate?

YES..in national Banks (May be some privet banks can do in lower time limit..but i don't know that they doing for Bangladesh currency or not..like ICICI and HDFC..kind of banks..you go and ask directly in your area branches..) national banks demand some proof like passport and visa..photo.. pan card...n they credited in Indian currency..and defiantly charges of exchange rate..and may take some more time also..
