Why are developing countries, like India, abandoning the US dollar as the reserve currency?
India is slowly expressing its deep concern over trusting American global financial leadership. India has now joined hands with Russia and China in looking for an alternate to American Dollar as the reserve currency. “The major part of Indian reserves is in dollars -- that is something that’s a problem for us,” Tendulkar, chairman of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council, said in an interview yesterday in Aix-en-Provence, France. I think this indicates our dollar is sick or dying in terms of importance on a global level.

- Because the dollar keeps dropping. Soon if it keeps going, there will no longer be "a dollar". Many countries are examining the same concerns including China
- Unlike 90% of the people here in America, India sees clearly that Obama will ruin this country and take the dollar down with it.
- Because the US has been printing money since Nixon took us off the gold standard. The more there is of something, the less it is worth and we certainly don't seem to be any hurry to stop printing money.
- because the "Obamanator" keeps printing more and more, and they've come to realize that the dollar won't be worth the paper it's printed on very soon..the idiot "Obamanator" must go!!!
- The decline of the US dollar was ushered in around the time /by the election of the current president. It saw the Euro shoot up in value, the german mark and the British pound. However, the US dollar is rallying, Other world currencies are deemed to be more "stable" than the floundering greenback, and two more of those currencies are the francs. What brought this on? The collapse of the stock market. There were a lot of unsecured loans and some deals especially at the higher levels were shady. When the fall came, only the people at the lower end of the economic triangle got affected by foreclosures, job lay offs, and the likes. Countries like India do not wish to see their investment in US currency to bite the dust.
- Because the dollar is becoming worthless
- TO BE OBJECTIVE.... STICKING WORLD ECONOMY TO JUST ONE NATION DOESNT MAKE SENSE ANYMORE... IN THE PAST AMERICA WAS "THE WORLD ECONOMY"... BUT NOW THINGS ARE CHANGING... WE ARE HEADING TO A FUTURE WHERE THE ECONOMIC "POWER" WOULD BE SPLIT... AMERICA AND EUROPE LOOSING A LOT OF ITS HOLD WHILE CHINA, INDIA, RUSSIAN, BRAZIL, TURKEY, AUSTRALIA ETC GAINING SOME... SO THE NEXT LOGIC STEP CPULD BE GOING FOR THE EURO AS RESERVY CURRENCY AS IT REPRESENTS MANY MORE NATIONS... TILL WE FIND SOMETHING THAT REPRESENT EVERY ÓNE EQUALLY.... WHICH COULD BE SORT OF A REALLLY HAD TASK....
