- With all the companies outsourcing to India these days , the country is on its way to the top. The real problem with India is the poor. There are so many poor people in the country with no skills at all that no one knows what to do with them. Perhaps as India industrializes there will be jobs and a better life for them. Perhaps they will be left behind. It is hard to say. I am under the impression that the cast system is still very strong in India. This is not a good thing for many. In the end. the biggest worry will be that it India becomes as rich as England, what will India do with its poor? Some of the people will be rich but many will still be living in the dirt. It's hard to say how wealth will effect India.
- It could well be richer. Best Wishes. Mars Mission. 14th Year Psychology Student.
- Yes, the future looks promising. 50 years from now India will probably be a growing, thriving country and economy. England will probably be shrinking and may not exist any longer as an independent country. India has to learn to get over its propensity for bureaucracy and freedom-inhibiting civil service, but if it can do that, the sky's the limit. It's my belief that in the 2nd half of this century the U.S. and India will be the clear world economic leaders (China having faded by then due to demographics, Europe having become a complete basket case and very possibly an Islamic crap hole.)
- Unless India reaches stage of declining population it can never hope to be rich.
