I used to donate blood?

Till six years ago I was donating blood (with a rare group A2B+) I have donated for about17 times at various hospitals in the city. Lastly, I donated at Indian Red Cross Society blood bank after which I stopped getting calls for donation. My name was on donors' date base and I used to get calls regularly from various people and hospitals. Once the calls were abruptly stopped, it caused me a lot of tension and I worred whether there is something wrong with my blood or if I had some health problemdue to which my name was taken off donor's list. What hurt me more is the attitude of the blood bank. If they found anything wrong, they should have informed me. Isn't it? Thereafter, I did not make any attempt to contact anyone in the matter. However, at times, the thought comes to my mind that if I continued with donation, in all these years, I could have donated several times benefiting many more patients as mine is a rare group. Thereafter, I got my blood tested several times on various occasions but I have not been so far told about any abnormalty in my blood. Can someone comment.

  1. were you rude to the blood extracter people
  2. Nothing to worry. U are an instrument of the God to save lives several times in the past. Even though the God is with U for all these years, U must also think of what science says. Kindly, protect Urself and that must be Ur top-priority; so that U may donate again in the future years. But, no regrets at all.Be a happy bird. God bless U and every good luck to Ur noble heart.
  3. If you got your blood tested, and everything was normal, then bugger the sods... If they don't call you, let them be. You did a great thing by donating, and if you want to continue, maybe you can donate at other camps
  4. You're making a lot of assumptions. Maybe their budget no longer allows them to send out notices? Or maybe there was a clerical error and your name is no longer on the mailing list. Have they told you not to come back? Then go ahead and donate again!
