Why did the Fed decide to change interest rates? What specific economic events caused this change? I am writing a paper and one of the questions calls for specific events that would explain why the Fed decided to lower interest rates recently. I need some good examples. Links would be appreciated... Thank you!

- well...the jesuit order of the roman catholic church probably ordered it. or they told the international bankers what has to happen and they decided how to run the worlds banks from there. nothing happens in this world unless it gets an ok by the black pope and his jesuit order. there's your answer.
- The Fed lowers and raises the interest rate to ease lending or combat inflation. Here's a good article. http://www.foundationsforliving.org/articles/foundation/fedraiselower.html
