Will India support Srilankan Tamils?

Will India support Srilankan Tamils? (Not LTTE) If srilankan government starts to kill the innocent tamil civilians what India will do? To be noticed here, Tamil Nadu is a state that can demand the central government for it's important needs since it have a major vote bank and one of the main states of India.

2. If the Sri Lankan government commits crimes against humanity, then any state party to the Convention on Genocide could act to stop them - not only India. The Tamils in Sri Lanka are not Indian nationals. There is no reason India should get involved above any other state party to the conventions.
