How do you practice doing "fake" trades on yahoo finance?

Like if you are interested in learning how to trade stocks so you want to practice....I heard there is a place in yahoo finance where you can practice fake trading of stocks. Does anyone know where you can do that?

2. Perhaps Yahoo is not the best fake trading simulator. Here is one that I've used a lot. And it's good for both stocks and options. All you have to do is open a free account and start trading with fake money. http://simulator.investopedia.com/home.aspx
3. you can create a portfolio and log in your transactions. Probably no the best website but it can be done
4. Just use the create portfolio feature . Decide what stock you want and how many shares . You enter the ticker symbols then use the enter more info feature . Enter the number of shares and the price on the day you would buy . ( whatever it was trading for when you thought that would be a good price if you had $$$$ ) Then you watch and if it goes up you could sell ! . You can enter more than 1 and you should always have several at least . Remember that in real life , if you hold less that a year you pay double the capital gains taxes you would if you held it for a year or more . The portfolio only shows the stocks tho, they don't do taxes but then again , neither do the real brokerages . Have fun ! >
