How could one possibly say that not one character in the Bible existed?

Where did you think they got the crucifixion necklace? Did you think that some man while he was bored decided to make some kind of jewelry? Crucifixion was like the capital punishment back then. If you think I am wrong go to the search bar in Google and type in Julius Ceasear, he crucified pirates. Also the facts that there was a couple of books written by each man. I am not saying I believe the miracles in the Bible but some references in the Bible can provide the community a historical reference. I think that the following people existed because there was an entire trial on Jesus, Peter, Thomas, etc. Peter was crucified upside down as requested, Jesus was crucified by Ponus Pilate, Thomas was martyred in India. Now these are well developed characters that help explain how exactly things were like back then. This really isn't a novel but some kind of historical document. However Roman officials could've easily manipulated these documents to serve their purposes.

  1. So then ALL historical fiction is real right? Because if it's in a book, and the characters, no matter how imaginary, live in a real place, then the character must also be real. Right?
  2. Those who proclaim that characters in the Bible are fictitious, are those who really fear that they may in fact be real. They are those who are so insecure about their own existence, their own sinful lives, that believing in the existence of these persons would only serve to diminish their own self worth....
  3. To say that not ONE character in the Bible existed would be to deny much of recorded ancient history. People used to think that Nebuchadnezzar and Pontius Pilate were mythological figures until archaeologist found inscriptions bearing their names. If you want to deny that people such as Alexander the Great and King Cyrus of Persia existed, go ahead. But don't call ME an idiot.
